Fitness Level: What to Expect

This trip is designed for active adventurers who love the outdoors and aren’t afraid to break a sweat. You don’t need to be an elite athlete, but you should feel comfortable spending full days outside, hiking on uneven terrain, and gaining elevation.

We’ll tackle daily hikes ranging from 8 to 25 km, with up to 1,500 meters of elevation gain. Trails will take us through rugged landscapes, with some steep sections, rocky footing, and even a bit of light scrambling. You’ll also get a taste of vertical movement with an intro to rock climbing session—no experience needed, just a willingness to try something new.

If you’ve got a sense of adventure, an appreciation for big views and wild places, and the energy to embrace full days in nature (and maybe get a little dirty along the way), you’ll feel right at home.

Day 1: Welcome to the Wild

We’ll scoop you up in downtown Whitehorse at 5:00 PM sharp—no fashionably late entries, the Squatch Bus waits for no one (well... maybe for snacks).

After a quick welcome huddle, some light paperwork (waivers—we promise it’s less boring than it sounds), and maybe a group high five, we’ll hit the road.

We’re heading south to the Carcross area, where coastal mountains meet chill vibes. There, we’ll claim a scenic campsite and settle in for the night.

Dinner? Cooked together. Vibes? Immaculate.

Then it’s time to bond around a bonfire, Squatch style—think campfire laughs, awkward icebreakers that somehow work, and maybe someone trying to roast a marshmallow on a trekking pole.

Sleep under the midnight sun, and dream of tomorrow’s alpine adventures (or just dream about snacks, no judgment).

Day 2: Peak Vibes Only

We’ll kick things off with a Squatch-sized breakfast to fuel your adventure (yes, there’s coffee… we’re not monsters). Then it’s time to gear up and head out.

Today we roam the rugged backyard of Carcross—alpine ridges, secret viewpoints, and wide open spaces. The exact route? We’ll play it by ear, based on the weather, group energy, and how ambitious everyone’s feeling after breakfast.

After a full day of wild wandering, we’ll hop back in the Squatch Bus and cruise to one of our secret camp spots—a tucked-away gem that’s perfect for winding down.

Expect another shared meal, golden light, and chill camp vibes. You earned it.

Day 3: One Last Taste of the Wild

Wake up, stretch, sip your coffee while gazing at some ridiculous scenery—it’s our final morning together, so we’re soaking up every last bit.

We’ll head out for a short hike or a mellow wander, depending on the group’s vibe. Maybe a secret trail, maybe a lake dip, maybe just some peaceful moments in nature—no pressure, no rush.

Then it’s time to roll. The Squatch Bus heads back toward Whitehorse, hearts full and feet maybe a little dusty.

We’ll drop you off downtown by late afternoon, just in time for you to find a real shower—or immediately start planning your next Yukon escape.

Warning: re-entry to civilization may feel weird.
