Learn how real northern expeditions work.
The Yusquatch Field Program was built for people who want more than just a guided trip.
These are hands-on wilderness immersion programs designed to teach the real systems behind backcountry travel, mountain expeditions, and remote life in the North. Whether you’re dreaming about backpacking through wild landscapes, learning to climb outdoors, traveling deeper into the Arctic, or simply becoming more confident in the wilderness, our programs are designed to help bridge the gap between curiosity and capability.
Led by passionate ACMG-certified guides and experienced northern expedition leaders, our field programs combine practical outdoor education with real Yukon adventure.
This is not classroom learning.
And it’s definitely not survival-TV style training.
We believe the best way to learn is by doing:
traveling through real terrain, navigating valleys and ridgelines, building camp systems, cooking outdoors, learning movement in mountain environments, and living together as a small expedition team.
Depending on the program, topics may include:
- backpacking systems
- wilderness navigation
- mountain travel
- expedition planning
- survival & emergency skills
- rock climbing systems
- Arctic travel preparation
- glacier and alpine movement
- risk management
- cold-weather systems
- off-grid camp life
- wilderness communication systems
Throughout our programs, participants explore some of the wildest landscapes in the Yukon while learning practical skills they can carry into future adventures long after the trip ends.
The goal isn’t just to guide you through the North.
It’s to give you the confidence, knowledge, and experience to begin exploring it on your own.
