      Climb. Tacos. Sleep. Repeat.

Join us for 10 unforgettable days in El Potrero Chico, Mexico’s legendary limestone canyon and one of the best sport climbing destinations in the world. You’ll stay right in the action at La Posada campground, living in our fully converted school bus — the Squatch Bus — parked just steps from the crag.

This trip is for climbers of all levels. Whether it’s your first time outdoors or you're already leading and ready to level up, we’ve designed this experience to help you grow, send, and have a damn good time doing it. We’ve been climbing in EPC for years and built this trip to share the best of it — without the stress of organizing it all yourself.

You’ll get daily guided climbing, workshops on everything from lead climbing to multi-pitch systems, and personal coaching that meets you where you’re at. Midweek we’ll hit the hot springs, and later in the trip you’ll team up with a guide to take on a proper multi-pitch objective. There’s also time to explore Hidalgo, eat way too many tacos, and celebrate with a final dinner (on us) that wraps it all up.

We handle the logistics: airport pick-up and drop-off, all local transport, all meals, all gear (plus optional personal rentals). You just show up ready to learn, climb, and be part of a small crew of stoked humans.

Let’s make it the best climbing trip you didn’t have to plan.

  • Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Limestone Paradise

Touch down in Monterrey and let the adventure begin — we’ll be there waiting, signs in hand and stoke levels high. From airport chaos to canyon calm, we’ll get you out of the city and straight into the good stuff.

We’ll roll into La Posada campground, our basecamp for the week, where you’ll meet the Squatch Bus — our fully converted school bus and your new home on wheels. It’s our kitchen, gear hub, cozy bunkhouse, and post-climb hangout zone, all rolled into one big yellow unit of awesome.

No climbing today — just landing, settling in, and soaking up the vibes. Grab a cold one, kick back, and meet your crew. We’ll have a proper welcome dinner, go over what the week looks like, and walk you through all the fun stuff: belay checks, how the camp setup works, and where to find the best late-night tacos.

You’ll also:

Get a full trip briefing from your guides (we’ve been climbing here for years — we know what’s good)

Sort gear, check your setup, and start setting goals for the week

Learn why La Posada is the place to be in EPC — climber paradise with palm trees and good vibes built-in

Day 2 – Warm-Up, Dial In, Lock In

Rise, shine, and caffeinate — it’s go time. Today we get our feet on the rock, shake off travel stiffness, and ease into the flow. We’ll start the day with a warm-up session at one of the more chill crags near camp. Nothing spicy yet — just getting the feel for the stone, dialing in your footwork, and remembering how to tie a figure-8 without second-guessing it three times.

This is a foundational day. Whether you're clipping bolts for the first time or you've already got a few sketchy anchors under your belt, we’ll meet you where you're at. Expect technique tips, personalized feedback, and a solid safety refresh — we cover it all, and we do it right.

We’ll get you paired up with climbing partners, go over belay communication (yes, even if you think you already know it), and help set some personal goals for the week.

And don’t worry — we’ll still climb plenty. The crag is right there, and we came to clip bolts, not just talk about them.Enter

Day 3 – Lead Confidence & Mental Game

Now that the rust is off and you’ve had a taste of the stone, it’s time to level up. Today we lean into progression — whatever that means for you. First outdoor lead? Mock lead with backup? Cleaning a route for the first time? Let’s go.

We’ll coach you through the systems, the mindset, and the moves. If you’ve already got some leads under your harness, we’ll work on refining technique and dialing in efficiency — smoother clips, smarter rests, less Elvis leg.

For newer climbers, we’ll keep things controlled but empowering. For the more seasoned, we’ll offer beta, support, and a little healthy heckling from the belay.

It’s about building trust — in your gear, your partner, and your own ability to get up the wall. And yeah, it might be a little scary. But that’s part of the magic. Fear shows up. You breathe, you move, you clip. You win.

By the end of the day, you’ll be buzzing. Not from caffeine — from realizing you’re way more capable than you thought.

Day 4 – Multi-Pitch Day

By now, you’ve got your groove. Today we stretch it — vertically. This is the day we get into multi-pitch terrain. Longer routes, higher exposure, and a bigger sense of adventure. It's not just about climbing — it’s about climbing as a team. Communication, efficiency, trusting the system, and your partner.

This is the day where people surprise themselves. Maybe it’s your first time 100 metres off the deck. Maybe you build your first legit anchor. Maybe you find yourself laughing halfway up a wall wondering why you ever thought you couldn’t do this.

Also: snack game levels up today. Bring the good stuff — multi-pitch makes you hungry.

Day 5 – Recovery Day: Hot Springs & Taco Night

You’ve earned this one. After four days of climbing, focusing, and giving your all on the wall, we’re hitting the brakes — on purpose.

We’ll start the day with a trip to the local natural hot springs. Warm water, mountain views, and total reset mode. You’ll soak, stretch, and feel your forearms slowly forgive you.

The afternoon is yours: chill out, explore town, grab a coffee, or just do nothing for a while.

Then comes taco night — and it’s on us.
We’re taking the whole crew into town for the kind of feast only Mexico can deliver. Picture: cold drinks, a table full of salsas, tortillas flying, and that post-climb hunger hitting just right. It’s messy, it’s loud, and it’s one of the best parts of the whole trip.

We rest. We eat. We laugh. Then we get ready to crush again tomorrow.

Day 6 – Multi-Pitch Skills & Prep Day

We’re back on the wall — and this time, we’re going deeper into the multi-pitch world.

Today is all about refining systems, dialing in efficiency, and getting you ready for tomorrow’s bigger mission. Think: rope management that doesn’t turn into a bowl of spaghetti, smooth belay transitions, route reading, and communication that actually works halfway up a wall.

You’ll be teamed up with one of our guides (1:3 ratio — intimate, focused, and safe) to choose your multi-pitch objective for Day 7. Something that challenges you — but feels totally within reach after everything you’ve learned this week.

Workshops, hands-on coaching, and lots of rope flaking will happen today. This is the stuff that makes you a stronger, more confident climber for real-world routes — not just sport cragging.

Get ready to level up again. And pack snacks — tomorrow’s going to be big.

Day 7 – Big Day Out

This is it — the adventure day. You’ve built the skills, practiced the systems, and now it’s time to put it all to use on a proper day out in the mountains.

You and your small team (just you, two others, and one guide — tight and focused) will head out early for your chosen multi-pitch route. This isn’t just a climb — it’s an experience. Moving together as a rope team. Taking in the exposure. Managing gear, headspace, and snack strategy like pros. This is what you came here for.

The objective depends on the group — it could be long and moderate, short and spicy, or somewhere in between. What matters is that you picked it, prepped for it, and now you’re doing it. With your guide right there to back you up, you’ll climb smarter, smoother, and stronger than you thought you could.

Expect highs, maybe a few nerves, probably a crux or two — and big energy when you top out. This day stays with people.

Day 8 – Open Climb & Good Vibes Only

The hard part’s behind you — now it’s time to climb for the pure joy of it.

Today is open and flexible: revisit a route that felt just out of reach earlier in the week, go chase one last mini-project, or just lap some cruisy classics with your new crew. Want to relax and just belay, take photos, or snack your way through the day? That’s also a power move.

For those still hungry to learn, we’ll offer optional mini-workshops throughout the day — think cleaning anchors, movement flow, or belay transitions. Or take time to reflect on yesterday’s big climb: what clicked, what freaked you out a little, and what you want to keep improving on when you get home. Your guides will be around for feedback, coaching, or just some solid high fives.

No pressure. No expectations. Just good climbing, good people, and good beta yells echoing off the canyon walls.

Day 9 – Hidalgo Day & Final Fiesta

No harnesses today — just hats, sunglasses, and time to explore.

We’ll head into Hidalgo for a chill day of local culture, good coffee, and casual adventure. Think market browsing, snack tasting, souvenir hunting, or just soaking up the vibe of the town that’s been our climbing home all week.

It’s a chance to decompress, walk around without a helmet on, and appreciate the slower side of Mexico. Your legs will thank you. So will your sunburnt belay neck.

In the evening, we’ll wrap it all up the best way we know how: with an epic final dinner in town — on us. Long table, loud laughs, full plates. A celebration of the climbs, the send burns, the whips, the wins, and the people who made it all unforgettable.

One last cheers to the week that made you stronger, dirtier, hungrier… and maybe just a little bit braver.

Day 10 – Departure Day

Time to pack it up — the gear, the memories, and whatever’s left of your shoes after 10 days on limestone.

We’ll get you back to Monterrey International Airport for your flight home, tired and happy, with chalk still in your fingernails and probably a few taco crumbs in your bag. Hugs happen. Group selfies happen. Vows to come back happen.

You showed up. You climbed hard. You learned new things, met new people, and pushed your limits. Now you head home stronger — in body, head, and heart.

We’ll see you on the next one.

  • Is It For You?

    Short answer? Probably.
Is it though? Let’s find out.

This trip is for you if:

You climb indoors and want to finally touch real rock (without figuring it out alone)

You’ve climbed outside but want to improve — lead more confidently, build anchors, go multi-pitch

You want to be part of a small, motivated group — not a massive tour

You’re stoked on climbing, tacos, and camp life (yes, you’ll sleep in a converted bus — and you’ll love it)

You’re down to learn, try hard, and sometimes laugh at yourself

You need a solid excuse to ditch winter and spend 10 days climbing in the Mexican sun

We keep it real, we keep it fun, and we’re here to help you leave a stronger, more confident climber than when you arrived — with a few extra calluses and a whole lot of stories.Enter
