Step into the wild heart of the Yukon. Just outside Whitehorse, frozen lakes stretch beneath snowy peaks — the perfect setting for an Arctic winter day. This is more than just skiing, it’s about embracing the stillness, the cold, and the wild beauty of the North.

Your day begins with a hotel or downtown pick-up at 9:30 AM. From there, we head into the backcountry where you’ll clip into cross-country skis and glide across a frozen lake. The pace is relaxed and beginner-friendly, with a maximum of 4 km round trip. But if you’re a seasoned skier looking for a challenge, your guide can take you further into the wild.

Halfway through, we stop to build a fire right on the ice. Gather around with hot chocolate and coffee, and taste a true Yukon treat: a wild bison smokie roasted over the flames, finished off with a sweet cookie. It’s the perfect fuel for your day on the snow.

By 4:00 PM, we’ll bring you back to town — cheeks flushed, lungs full of fresh air, and memories of a day in the frozen wilderness.

Want to take it further?
For the truly adventurous, we offer an overnight winter camping add-on. After skiing, you’ll stay out on the lake under the northern sky, warm up by the fire, and share a hearty fondue dinner in the wild. Fall asleep in a cozy tent on the ice, surrounded by silence and stars.
