Glide into the wild and spend a night under the Yukon sky. This overnight adventure combines a day of cross-country skiing with the magic of camping right on a frozen lake — fires crackling, fondue bubbling, and stars overhead.
Day 1
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or downtown Whitehorse at 9:30 AM and head into the backcountry. Strap on cross-country skis and follow your certified guide across a frozen lake, up to 4 km at a relaxed pace (with the option to go further if you’re experienced). Midday, we’ll stop for a fire on the ice — with hot chocolate, coffee, and wild Yukon bison smokies for lunch.
As the sun dips, we’ll set up camp right on the side of the lake. Warm up around the fire and share a hearty cheese fondue with bread, roasted veggies, and apples, followed by marshmallows roasted under the northern sky.
Day 2
Wake up to silence, snow, and wide-open horizons. Breakfast is a Yukon classic — pancakes with maple syrup and fruit, plus fresh coffee or cocoa to fuel your ski back. We’ll return you to town early afternoon, with cheeks glowing and memories of a night few people ever experience.
